The newly-built block of rented rooms called “Villa
Forestata” is situated near the exceptionally beautiful
beaches of Petani, Platia Ammos and Myrtos of the Kouvalates
residential area in Livadi, Palliki. It consists of seven
independent fully-equipped houses.
Every and each one of them has got its own bedrooms, a kitchen,
a bathroom, a living room and spacious terraces (verandas).
You can find any supplies necessary for a confortable and
pleasant stay like linen, furniture, cupboards etc., as well
as electric appliances, plus a TV set and of course an air
conditioner.
The block of flats is situated at an exceptionally peaceful
area in Kouvalates, a village of only a few farmhouses.
Around it there is a large orchard full of olive trees and
various local fruit trees, absolutely suitable for families
with children. There is also a barbeque for grilling meat
or fish alone with your family or with other residents you
may know while staying in "Villa Forestata".
Its
main advantage is its location with a wonderful
view to the open horizons all around.
Just below there is the Livadi plain, north of which you
can find a reserve of migratory birds, like herns and various
other species. From there to the east you can have a spectacular
view to the edge of Argostoli gulf (Fanari Lassis area)
as well as the mountains across it where Faraklata, Delinata,
Farsa and other villages are located.
To the South you can find the Palliki southern clay plain
up to the Xi and Mega Lakkos beaches with their special
red sand and the small island of Vardiani.
Last but not least, on its west side you can see the half-mountainous
area of northern Palliki with its green idyllic villages.
Many of our visitors have been completely amazed at that
view and they have been talking about the absolute peace
and quiet they experienced during their stay in “Villa
Forestata”.
Another advantage
is that our rooms are situated close to the three most well-known
beautiful beaches of Kefalonia.
Only 10 minutes away from Petani with its green and blue
clear waters, pebbles and white sand, panoramic cliffs and
a view to the Ionian Sea.
Petani is a well-organised beach with its own life-guard,
deck-chairs, great caf?s, bars and a few taverns with delicious
traditional dishes.
15 minutes away you can find the wild Platia Ammos beach,
made accessible only recently. If one wants to get there,
one should go down its 280 stairs with a cliff vertically
above. It has been famous for its pebbles while its difficult
access and the grandeur of nature have made it especially
popular to real and demanding nature lovers.
Petani and Platia Ammos are found in Paliki peninsula at
the very western edge of Kefalonia.
20 minutes away from Myrto (northwestern Kefalonia, Pylaros
area) for the most famous European beach, words are just
not enough.
Nearby you can also find some more beaches like Xi, Megas
Lakkos, Lepeda and Porto Etheras.
The block of flats
is only 4km away from Lixouri where you
can go shopping, go for a walk or an evening outing. You
can also take a boat to Argostoli from there.
